Discover Surrey’s Historic Fetcham Park This Heritage Open Days 2026

Jul 9, 2026

On Saturday 12 September, from 10am – 4:30pm, Fetcham Park, our business centre near Leatherhead, will once again open its doors for Heritage Open Days 2026, welcoming visitors to explore one of Surrey’s finest historic houses.

As England’s largest festival of history and culture, Heritage Open Days offers the chance to experience remarkable buildings and hidden stories completely free of charge. For clients, colleagues and visitors to Cams Hall, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a day out beyond Hampshire and discover one of Surrey’s most beautiful heritage destinations that’s not usually open to the public.

Located in the heart of Mole Valley, just outside Leatherhead, Fetcham Park is a magnificent Queen Anne country house with more than 300 years of history. Designed by renowned architect William Talman and completed in 1705, the house has remained a striking example of English architecture, combining timeless elegance with a fascinating story that continues today.

As part of the same family of business centres as Cams Hall, Fetcham Park demonstrates how historic buildings can be sympathetically restored and adapted to provide exceptional workplaces while preserving their remarkable heritage.

Step inside a remarkable historic house

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Fetcham Park’s beautifully preserved interiors, including its breathtaking cantilevered staircase, intricate wood carvings and original murals by celebrated artist Louis Laguerre, whose work can also be seen at Blenheim Palace and Chatsworth House.

Every room reveals another chapter in the story of the house and the people who have lived, worked and shaped its legacy over the centuries.

Wander through the historic grounds

Outside, guests are invited to stroll through the peaceful private gardens, originally designed by renowned gardener George London. With sweeping lawns, elegant fountains and mature planting, it’s the ideal setting to relax and enjoy a picnic during your visit.

Whether you’re passionate about architecture, history or simply discovering beautiful places, Fetcham Park offers something for everyone.

Discover centuries of history

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a free exhibition exploring the history of the house, its notable owners and the people who helped shape this remarkable Surrey landmark.

Kate Ainsworth, House Manager at Fetcham Park, said:

“Heritage Open Days is all about celebrating community, history and accessibility, and Fetcham Park is honoured to be part of this national event once again. It’s an opportunity not only to connect with the past but to appreciate how historic buildings continue to play an important role in modern life.”

A worthwhile day trip from Hampshire

Although Cams Hall enjoys its own rich history overlooking Portsmouth Harbour, Heritage Open Days provides the perfect excuse to explore another exceptional historic property within our wider business centres group.

Fetcham Park is within easy reach from Fareham, making it an enjoyable day trip for anyone looking to experience one of Surrey’s hidden gems while supporting this wonderful national celebration of heritage.

Admission is free, and ample parking is available on-site.
