History of Cams Hall
The Manor of Cams has a rich history dating back to the Domesday Book, passing through notable owners including the Ludlow, Badd, Wolff, Carnac and Delmé families. In the late 18th century the Hall was extensively remodelled by architect Jacob Leroux, creating the elegant Georgian Palladian building seen today. After remaining in the Delmé family for over a century, the estate later declined following wartime use and a devastating 1950 explosion. Following decades of dereliction, Cams Hall was fully restored in the 1990s and, since 2000, has been owned by the family-run Wilky Group, beginning a new chapter for this historic landmark.
